Robin Hood's Bay 5 Ply Gansey Kit

Robin hoods Bay is a delightfully pretty village which also appears to tumble down the hillside into the sea.  In fact it has a history of doing just that and over 200 cottages have been lost to the sea over the last 2 centuries.  A large sea wall now protects the village.  For many years this was a centre for smuggling.  The surrounding moors and steep becks were ideal for hiding and spiriting away contraband goods.  This pattern is based on the Storm family patter of cables and moss stitch (moss was sometimes called hailstones).  The close cables in this design give extra warmth and thickness to the upper body and upper arms.
