Filey is a small town which has a long history of fishing and its families made their living this way for hundreds of years. This pattern has the double moss stitch which represents the pebbles on the shore, and cables which look like ship’s ropes. It also has a distinctive zig-zag stitch which is like the winding paths up the sides of the steep cliffs here.
